I had never seen a zinnia until I painted this painting.
When I shared it on social media, one of my follower friends, Emilia an ex-work colleague, insisted on sending me hundreds of zinnia seeds. She sent 3 or 4 different varieties and packaged them up so beautifully.
I was deeply touched that she had gone to all the effort to do that for me.
So zinnias will always remind me of kindness. They remind me that in a world full of negativity, there are bright rays of sunshine, and wonderful human beings!
